  1. Welcome back to the NEW TGS on version 3.7.0!

Thread Prefixes Long requested by users, threads can now have administrator-defined prefixes to their titles. Thread prefixes are divided into groups by the administrator, allowing different prefixes to be available in different forums.
  2. Welcome back to the NEW TGS on version 3.7.0!

Thread Tagging A new way to facilitate searching and grouping of threads, it is now possible for users to add tags to threads they post or read. Tags can be added when creating a new thread, or to an existing thread by any user (with appropriate permissions). Any users who then click on these tags will not only find all thread that have the same tag as the one clicked, but will also contribute to the building of a search tag cloud, which gives users a quick guide as to what has been searched for recently and most frequently.
  3. Good morning James! :)

  4. 2007 vs 2008

Jeff, Call me or Rod if you have any questions while on the job. We have been HD-80 users for years. Beth
  5. FREE Iced Coffee

  7. This one needs some LOVE. Made by hand in about the '70's, this is NOT a kit home. The foundation is much older, and needs excavation work. Gaps between logs, so we are probably talking chinking work too. Have not seen photos. Have contact info. Call or PM me for details. This is NOT a small job. Beth
  8. We see it here too, I think it is everywhere. Glad you got the job. :) Beth
  9. Boosted HD-80

Yep. When we have to strip an acrylic, we use the 633 from ACR. ACR PRODUCTS Beth
  10. Ummm...I know you omitted the name (thank you for that) and I mean no offense but it comes off a little bit in your face and smug. I would hate for another member to not want to come here because even though they were not named, they knew who they were and felt like a shot was take. I think your post has a great lesson about value without going "nah nah nah"... Just my .02.... Beth
  11. Many have tried to duplicate HD-80. We have tried many things, and come back to what works for us. HD-80 ROCKS. Beth
  12. That unit does have a fan tip but like all parts for pumptec they are hard to get as most distributors may not stock them as they are an unlikely choice. We use fan tips on our Titan sprayers which you can buy in different sizes including fan width. Not suggesting that you abandon your pumptec but I would inquire as to the fan tip availability. Tom @ acr products is a distributor that carries more parts than anyone else I know of. Give him a call. Rod!~
  13. That will make it tougher...you get dirt, mildew etc. between the layers of sealer and it gets pulled into the substrate. You are absolutely correct. Beth
  14. Deck Stains Cleaners Sealers Staining Decks Wood Decking Sealing Concrete Paver Restoration I don't know anyone in GA who sells it. You have to order it online. Beth
  15. HD-80 has a great surfactant package. Don't need to boost it for Penofin. Have you stripped Penofin with HD-80? I have not taken Penofin off with F-18, but I still would bet you don't need to boost it. I know for a fact you don't need to with HD-80. Beth
  16. You need to contact a vendor. Waiting for one to reply here will not get you what you need when you need it. Try: TheProSealerStore for HD-80 Beth
  17. What is the most effective way to get jobs?

Maybe that works out there, but out here you can get on the bad side of a residential home owners association really fast by doing that. Also if you place them on county property there are very heavy fines. This is why we only have them up while working. Best to check your local area....for county restrictions, and of course ask the homeowner about covenants in their neighborhood. Beth
  18. Correct. When you strip with HD, or any NaOH based stripper the wood may (often will) get little fuzzies (looks like little hairs) that you then need to buff or sand off. The reason is simple, the chemical breaks the bond between the wood and stripper, the fuzzies are the reaction of the wood letting go of the sealer. Beth :groovy3: :seeya:
  19. Well, that's ok if you don't agree Kevin. But we have been stripping Penofin for years. I'll take not letting it dry, but keeping it wet w/ product, and letting it dwell sufficiently any day over adding a booster. Penofin is an oil. You should not need to boost to take it off. Acrylic yeah, oil no. We would be using HD-80.... ;) Beth
  20. IMHO you don't need boost to strip Penofin. Mix the stripper strong, like 8 oz per gallon, let dwell, do not let it dry - keep wet w/more product. Test a spot before you strip the whole thing. Beth
