Mildew and algae on wood deck

What is do you recommend to remove heavy black mildew and algae from a wooden deck? I understand bleach may be harmful to the wood fibers, but what else can be applied to the surface?

Sodium Percarbonate cleaner & neutralize with an oxalic or citric acid.

First how bad is it ? Sometimes is easier to blow off the mold with plan water first. Take a layer off then use a cleaner. I use bleach and sometimes I still use precarbs. In this case I would use bleach it works better in the removal of mold .
