0 Paul Kassander 26 Report post Posted February 11, 2008 Ken, look into HSA insurance they offer great coverage and big savings. I set myself and employees up on the plans. For a family of 5 I spend about $10k last year. The way they are set up you purchase an insurance plan which goes into effect after you meet your deductible for the year (the HSA portion). What is nice is if you don't use up your deductible the money carries over to the next year and you don't have to fund the whole $3000 again unless you want to. The coverage and Dr's are the same as a standard plan but your "insurance" portion payments are lower since you are responsible for the first $3000 or so. Then they cover 100% or 80% depending on how you set it up. I used Fortis but not sure if they are available in your area. Just check with your regular insurance carrier they usually have several plans they can offer. Or check with an employee benefits company.
0 Scott Stone 604 Report post Posted February 11, 2008 We use Central Reserve Life. It is very expensive. We ended up having to put our kids on Blue Cross, and my wife and I on the CRL plan to save money. It is still beaucoup expensive.
