Mountain View 14 Report post Posted October 9, 2008 I have a 16hp Vanguard v-twin belt drive, cold water unit. 4000psi, 4.5 gal. My question is: what is the likely charging circuit amperage? I've looked through various web sites, including Briggs and S but haven't been able to find out. I will more than likely be adding a hot box at some time and want to make sure things will be ok. This is probably a question Russ can answer. Thanks.
C&S Property Services 24 Report post Posted October 9, 2008 Pete, You should be fine. I had a Hydrotek with a 16hp and had a hot box hooked up to it. Never had a problem. Good luck with it...

Douglas Hicks 128 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 I was told the amperage demand on my Delco was 18 amps with the burner on. That is a 2 amp cushion. I usually let my pw run for a while w/o the burner on to charge the battery.
