0 Littlefield 65 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 Russell has told me during a wood chat that 2/3 of a cup comes very nearly to 8 oz of weight. The thing with hd 80 is that if you go too strong, it doesn't work as well. Hope this helps, didn't they mention something about a booster for hd 80 coming soon?? 0 svp07 14 Report post Posted June 16, 2004 I knew the HD80 was by weight, I didn't see the point of getting the 9oz cups due to that being volume. I am thinking of ordering some HD80, but I am really going to have to talk to someone about procedures and safety measures to surrounding building materials. 0 MMI Enterprises 289 Report post Posted May 24, 2010 Old thread and all but for those that use search function and end up here may find a conversion factor of .76 from weight to volume suitable when using straight caustic in a mix for replacement of HD80. Weight to Volume conversion online. 8 oz by weight is 6.1 oz by volume
