Little help

Recommended Posts

I live in a small sub-division, where the houses are typically 1000-1500 square ft. I recently bought a pressure washer from Lowes, Troybilt with a Honda engine rated at 2600psi. I cleaned my house, sidewalks & driveways, as well as a neighbors. It took me a few hours but having a bad racing habit, and a 7 y/o, I have learned patience!!! I have a friend that pressure washes for a living in the upstate, and he suggested the x-jet nozzle, basically because all of my surrounding neighbors are now wanting me to pressure wash there houses.......so i am wondering if there is anyone I can call that can give me some advice and where to purchase the x-jet and use it properly....

I appreciate any advice and thank you for your time......

V - Couple of things:

1) Please fill out a signature

2) Are you trying to start a business?

3) If the answer to (2) is yes, you should register to come to Myrtle Beach next weekend - I know it's not far! National Cleaning Expo - Mobile Cleaning Events. With 150 pressure washing related companies, distributors, etc... in one place, I'm certain you'll find every answer you need :)

Welcome aboard!

Thanks for such quick responses..wow!!!

1. I filled out my signature....hope I didn't mess that up..lol

2. Not trying to start a business, my current job keeps me plenty busy, plus my racing schedule keeps me bouncing all over on the weekends. I would be lying though if I didn't say the thought has crossed my mind.

My neighbors all say they'll pay me for my time, which is fine by me, because it will just be put back into my racecar or maybe upgrading my pressure washing equipment. I guess thats why I am so curious about the x-jet. I was told it would cut my wash time tremendously, compared to the traditional 15 degree nozzle that came with my machine.....about the convention, I may try and make it but I have a race next Sat. night. Do you know if they sale videos or that sort of thing??

Thanks again..and lets hope the sig. works..lol

Hi Vance, the moment you take payment, you are a professional with liability for the outcome. I know what you are saying but you are kidding yourself and justifying with excuses. An inexperienced person messing with other people's homes with no insurance is a problem waiting to happen. Get the X-Jet, read all you can on here, do your neighbor's homes for free and if you feel this is something you may want to pursue, you go forward setting up your business officially. Any of us would be more than willing to help you with that.

Thanks for the advice Ken.......

Racing is my second job, and I guess I should go ahead and LLC or Incorporate myself and go through the proper insurance steps, because I really enjoy being outdoors and doing the washing thing. Appreciate the advice once again.

There will be a live feed attempted but this thing is on Friday, Saturday and some of Sunday - At a minimum you should try to swing over for a bit anytime between Thurs nite and Sun Afternoon.......seriously, there will be about a million years of combined experience there. Come shake hands and buy somebody a beer - you'll learn a LOT!
