Last night my wife asked me if I knew where the round pizza pan was. Sure I told her, it's up on the roof of the house being used as a ground plane for a mobile magnetic ham radio antenna. She didn't think it was too funny but I thought you guys might get a laugh out of it.

I am a Ham Radio Operator (Ka7NIQ), so I can relate.

Since the Pizza Pan is many wavelengths larger, in relation to the vertical radiator, it makes an effective "ground plane" or counterpoise.
