Should I use the water tank all the time?

Recommended Posts

I have been reading of guys always pulling water from their tank. I thought the tank was just for time when the job you are going to has no water supply. And if you are always trailering water isn't that a lot of added weight?

Small tanks (5-55gal.) are for protection against poor water volume & pressure so you dont starve the pump. Lot of areas could have water issues, small lines w/ poor pressure & volume, wells etc. The smaller tanks are referred to as buffer tanks. Try doing another search on the topic. Call me if you want on any ?'s. I am a retired 25 year autobody tech., saw you are a bodyman also. Been doing p-washing & decks for 19 years.

I always feed off of my tank but I don't trailer it around full. Keep an eye on it during the job and turn off the supply line when you have enough in the tank to finish the job. You don't need to haul all that extra weight around.
