Fuell tank

Recommended Posts

I am tired of that goobermint fuel can for diesel fuel. I am thinking of adding an auxillary fuel tank for diesel. Northern has an 18 gallon tank for $200.00. The fuel tank is 10 3/8 inches high, with a fuel tube at the top of the tank. I will mount the tank about 36 inches away from the burner. Will the fuel pump pull fuel that distance? or should I have another fuel fitting welded near the bottom of the fuel tank?

Diesel burner fuel pumps are amazingly capable of drawing fuel.. 36" horizontal is nothing. 36" vertical should be O.K.

..just be aware, that ANY extra load on a 12 volt DC system will INcrease power drawn against the charging system.

Y'all want reliability.. ..eliminate weakness, and ensure strength.

And before you buy from Northern, check with the hard-working suppliers on this blog..

We are here to help, but NOT to work for free.. we are "earning" your phone calls.

Besides that, we have everything to gain, in being competitive.

Call your favorite tech, and ask him to compete in prices of parts and accessories..

Give him a chance, but don't ask him to work for free. Inventory is expensive. Eh?
