RGilliam 46 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 Anyone have any suggestions on removing loose paint? I figured TSP, bleach, hot water? Its on a brick home. She said half was newly paint and she wants that clean. The other half is going to be painted next week. Any input would be appreciated!

Paul Kassander 26 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 If it is a good solid brick a turbo nozzle will work well on the paint but the chips will be all over the place when you are done so set up some tarps. The mix you suggested should be fine for a final prep just be sure to rinse well.
Adrian 155 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 Turbo and a leaf blower for the chips. Been there done that hated it. Wear eye protection for sure. And don't forget the salsa for the chips. nevermind.....what Paul said. ha.

maya61 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2016 Hi I guess for removing loose paint a handy small or medium sized pressure washer works well but if you want more professional equipment, try Falch products which are awesome!
maya61 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2017 you can also use a commercial high-pressure washer for this purpose, just be careful about the quality of the machine and try to select something which is powerful enough and has a durable high-pressure pump.
