Another Wack Idea?

Question

Over the weekend I finally made good on my promise to my wife to install an in-ground sprinkler system. Never let anyone tell you it's an easy job. So I was thinking... at the point where the I'll attach the sprinkler plumbing to the to the house, why not attach a downstream injector into the PVC? This way I'll be able to fertilize the lawn easliy whenever I want. What do you think?

You would probably want a dema valve, instead of a downstream injector. They are better at proportioning the chemicals. They can also handle the lower pressure flows better then a downstream injector can.

Yeah, something simple like that. I must have a hadful of old injectors around here, or even just installing a simple inlet in the pvc with a hose going into a 5 gallon bucket of Miracle Grow. I'll let you know how it works later today. I'm waiting for my neighbor to return from a job site later this afternoon with the Bobcat so I can level out this front yard that I've torn up with the rotor tiller and trencher. Maybe I'll have a decent yard this year.
