Mahagoney deck

Question

Hey all my buddy and I are working on his deck today just finish putting on the floor and its Mahagoney wood. The color looks great and he wants to keep it that way . Can anyone recommend a good clear coat sealer. He is looking for top of the line product. Can anyone help.

Attached is a photo of the four colors of Cabot's Austraiian Timber Oil on older mahogany. From left top to bottom right. Amberwood, Honey Teak, Natural, and Mahogany Flame.

Two other pics. First is the deck with the sample picture finished with Honey Teak. The second is a tongue and groove mahogany porch finished with Amberwood.

I kind of think they look better than "natural".

It has been my experience that the Timber Oil Natural WILL NOT hold up more than about 18 months on mahogany. The other three seem to outperform the natural. The reason I bring it up is it is better to set the expectation for the customer now and not when they call you back to do work for free. I do feel this is the best natural finish to put on mahogany if that is their preference.
