Kiln dried PT wood

Question

Is anyone seeing the use of this type of PT wood? This could be nice to come across since the moisture content of regular PT around here (the stuff from the local HI stores is in excess of 28% during building) Coxwood is the newest rage - it's dry!

Degraff - we use a moisture meter to check the wetness. The 28% I was referring to had actually been in full sun for 2 weeks when we tested. I can't imagine what it was prior to that.

Celeste,

Sounds funny. That is my wife's name.

I called Roger. Get my cell number if you want to talk to me. I have done at least 50 Cox KD decks (min 1000sf) in the past 12 months. They have issues now. If you would like some samples, no problem. The wood is soooo light. The switch from CCA is causing problems.

Right now my deck builder has dropped the line until they can "fix" the problem. They say they have no problem. They do have a problem.

Paul
