petemoss 14 Report post Posted June 26, 2003 I was just wondering how everyone handles getting sawdust off of a deck between sanding and sealing it? Michael Moss
0 Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted June 26, 2003 We use the sander that have sawdust catchers, but you still get some sawdust. We use a leaf blower to blow the deck off prior to sealing it up. Beth & Rod

0 Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted September 16, 2003 Are there fuzzies or splinters? If yes...
0 Joe Chadwick 14 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 No fuzzies, I know with Sikkens new mahogany wood is recomended to be sanded before refinishing, so I was wondering if it is necessary to sand before appling other finishes? joe
0 James 625 Report post Posted September 18, 2003 Sanding is required on new wood to open up the pores. This wood is to dense and to smooth best to let it sit for 2 , 3 months before sealing . Then you don't have to sand.
