Readyseal Gold

Question

I've not used RS Gold, and i have two customers wanting me to use it. I've always heard the durability is far less due to the clay pigments.....but what have you found in the field?? As far as expectations, with Nat. Cedar or Light Brown I'd do a deck every two years, and 3-4 yrs. on a vertical surface. What has been the experience with those that have used gold??

Jon I don't offer gold as a color any more. I maintain what I've done with it. It does get better with age. This deck I have taken care for ten years. The verticles have been done twice. This year will be time for a complete re-do. This is the tenth time !!!!!!

.The surface of the floor after the first application of gold looks blotchy (year later). However it gets better with maintenance . The deck above is in mint condition. The wood is soft to the touch. Because of the Anti- Aging cream I maintain it with.
