The nice part about doing multiple days would be that the informal stuff could come on Friday evening, maybe during breakfast - get a few (most of the day) organized hours for Saturday, have a planned Sat eve family/networking thing and the a free-for all day on Sunday :) It's the best of all the worlds!

My vote at this point is for a weekend event that for many will be a combination of vacation weekend and planned event.

If I had the perfect event to attend it would be like this (based on having this in Ocean City):

Friday night: Convention style meeting with speakers and vendor tables. Cocktails and buffet style dinner

Saturday: Group events that could include any of the following..fishing trip, day at the beach with games/events, Casino trip

Saturday Night: Informal gathering at our house which can include cocktails and hors d'euvres (sp)

Sunday morning: Goodbye breakfast with raffles.. T-shirts, vendor giveaways, door prizes etc.

I have never attended a round table but I would like the first one I am involved in to be a rewarding, informative and fun filled weekend for everyone that has contributed to both TGS growth as well as my own.

I will supply free lodging for the key planners if it is needed. Christine and I will handle the research of itinerary and event planning.

Fun while informative. No chest pounding, just people helping people for a weekend. I think I would learn so much by just talking and asking questions in a "all are equal" setting. If I start building my raft now, I should wash up on the shore of AC right around October!

That could be my contribution. I live very close to Bacardi HQ however that is not the best rum, Bacardi has been the one to pay the most attention to Mr. Ken's marketing tips.:lgmoneyey

It sounds like this will be one heck of a roundtable. May I suggest an itinerary?

Fri eve - informal gathering

Sat am meeting/discussion

Lunch

Sat pm product/process demos.

Sat night some event or place

Not everyone will be able to arrive in time on Fri to participate in formal events. Many will be working during the day, then driving up/down/over. Saturday am can start about 9 and the afternoon session could run til 5. Many will need to leave Sunday, so nothing formal scheduled, though either golf, or possibly actual cleaning session at a home or possibly the hotel to offset costs (?)

As far as location, Williamsburg would be nice for me (lol, 1 hour away) though I would travel to AC.

Come to think of it, if anyone would like to do a roundtable this holiday weekend, I have a skeleton of a 200,000 sq ft steel building to clean. 35' up, 4 or 5 lifts available. Water on site. Pays too!

Heard a rumor Jason has an underground pressure hose connected to the Bacardi plant so he gets his fill daily free!

Jason if Bacardi is not the best rum today what is?

Light rum please, not the dark stuff.

Oh and better take a few extra paddles with you on that raft in case one or two get chopped in half by sharks.
