Rust-Oleum on Trex Deck

Recommended Posts

I have a new construction house to wash tomorrow with Rust-Oleum on the Trex Deck. Has anyone had to remove anything like this off that beautiful stuff.icon13.gif I have a sample board to see if what I have will cause damage. It would be nice if anyone has experienced this and I wouldn't have to do a sample, But I'm probably to late on posting this question and will have to do it anyway.

Thanks,

CB

Everything damages Trex. We did one last month that had driveway sealer on it. We had to end up resealing the entire deck to make the deck look uniform in color again.

Solvent+Trex = noticeable shadowing. You can't really see it in the first picture but it was there.

Thanks guys,

I basicaly razor bladed the drips and left the shadow. do you think I could get the shadow off with the solvent? From what I understand where ever the solvent touches the trex it will stain. Guess I will have to offer the lesser of two evils.

Thanks again,

CB
