Bleach should be applied to a surface between 1% and 3% for a any job. House wash mix with Powerhouse can be at a 25:1 ratio. At 15:1 it should be working great but, if you are getting film left on windows, use less of the powerhouse. To clean gutters with powerhouse, use at a ratio of between 4:1 and 10:1. Just be sure to have soaped the wall behind it first or wet the wall at least. Powerhouse should not be use at greater than 15:1 on painted surfaces.

I use powerhouse too and only use 1/3 gallon of bleach in 3-1/2 gal of water to begin with. This is quite strong enough and only needs a reapplication on healthy algae infested siding. I let dwell 10-15 minutes and keep it wet. A second application may take up to 10 minutes more.

btw:I use industrial strength bleach from HD and it is only 7% and comes in gallon containers.

rod how much power house do you add to the 3 1/2gal of water

Depending upon how bad the surface contamination is will determine how strong I use it.

8oz-16oz is the avg range I use in 3-1/2 gallons of water.
