shawn_shawn 14 Report post Posted November 6, 2006 I Am Using Three (12 Volt) Pumps To Supply My Pressure Washers. (tw0- 5gpm) & (one-8gpm). I Am Using A Large Marine Battery And A Battery Charger Running From My Generator To Charge The Battery When I Am Using The Pumps.( Battery Is Fully Charged Before Working Each Day) ( Tried New Battery As Well) After Using The Pumps For Severals Hours I Am Losing Power On The Battery And The Pumps Are Not Supplying Enough Water To Supply The Pressure Washers. Question: Is There Anything That Would Constantly Run My Pumps At "full Power"???? Shawn Nec&m Lansford, Pa
Russ Johnson 141 Report post Posted November 6, 2006 You have 3 motors running off 1 battery, each pulling 10 - 15 amps. You would need at least a 50 amp charger to keep up.
Scott Stone 604 Report post Posted November 6, 2006 Or you could just run a 1 inch line from your tank to your machines. It would be a lot simpler...

danster 15 Report post Posted November 6, 2006 just use gravity. I have a 3 inch pipe to feed three pumps from a 1200 gallons tank and have plenty of water, the pumps never starve Dan

Christopher 102 Report post Posted November 27, 2011 Are your machines belt drive? Direct Drive? Gear Drive? If they are belt drive or gear drive you can probably feed them by gravity from the tank but a lot of the direct drive pumps out there need a little bit of pressure to feed them like the garden hose from the house as they spin so fast it is hard to pull from a tank. You can easily add a bulkhead fitting to your tank, probably cost less than $25 to buy one if you do not have one already. If you have one, you might need another to supply the other machines. Curious why you are not gravity feeding the pumps?
