I know it cost a ton of money to get a car wash going, but yesterday it was kind of nice and I went to get my wifes van washed. Both automatic bays were going with cars lined up 5 deep. The owner is real nice and he was out shooting the bull with the customers and making sure everything was going okay.

What's some feelings on car washes as a business?

A buddy of mine from Ft. Worth has been running 5 of them for several years now. Mainly self services, but I have never seen him happier.

His equipment runs Cat and Gen. pumps in most of his units (stalls).

He is always hoppin. It doesn't have to be a high class joint because most just simply want to wash their own car. He does alright!!!
