cwarrior 14 Report post Posted May 10, 2007 I have a Landa Water Jet. Is it normal for water to weep from the bottom of the hub? I weeps with hot and cold water. How do I know if it is an o-ring or the spinner? If it is an o-ring, is it difficult to change? Thanks! Mark Santa Rosa Beach, Fl.
Paul Kassander 26 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 No they shouldn't weep any water. It is probably an o ring and can usualy be changed with a little effort.
Ron Musgraves 240 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 If it and oring it easy to change, Not to disregard what Paul’s telling you because you may have and oring. Mine have no changeable ring on that part of the equipment. They often leak from the rotary union and it can be re-built. Mine often leak months before we change them. Does yours have grease fitting on the unit? If it does grease the unit, it takes and special grease that’s not automotive. Often people put auto lube in them and this tears the sealed fittings up. Paul Kassander 26 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 Sorry that was what i meant, like Ron said, on the inside when you rebuild it not the outside. I have yet to see a union that you dont have to take completly apart to get at the oring that fails. Usually right on top by the inlet.
