cedar swing set coated in linseed oil?

I came across some one who bought a cedar swing/play set.To protect it they sealed it with linseed oil,now that it is jet black with mold they want it fixed.Has anyone come across anything like this and how did you fix it?

BlEaCh to kill the mildew but it will strip real easy and i would say that would be a better process...strip then brighten.

They don't wanna re apply the linseed oil huh?

Percarbonate to kill the mildew... not bleach....then neutralize/brighten...then prep ( sand if needed lightly) then seal. We use Wood Tux.

The Great Bleach Debate was the best thread in the wood catagory on TGS for all time. Bar none, hands down, no question.
