Any Smokers Out There?

Question

We have a new smoker sitting on the deck in the backyard and I'm itching to try it out, but we've always grilled.

Anybody got any advice or good recipes to share? Gonna do some ribs for sure and maybe a beef brisket sometime soon.

That is a Sweet looking Prime-rib. I would throw my piece on a 400 degree grill for about 2.5 min each side then eat the hell out of it.lol I love my meat reddish-pink but not still moo-ing.

Had a 20 oz piece of prime rib tonight for chow and it did not look at all like the pic above. mmmmm...I am hungry again...

Wife had ribs and the daughter had shrimp...

Don, glad to see you are checking out the other forums. There is just so much good info. there that it's unbelievable.

Thanks for all the compliments.

The plan for the leftovers is to slice them into steaks, about 1 inch thick, and throw them on a hot grill for a few minutes. The best of both worlds, prime rib one night and ribeyes a day or two later.
