0 RPetry 564 Report post Posted March 5, 2010 Adrian, Never used straight Dk. Red, but have mixed it with Dk. Brown a few times for mahogany jobs. Deck pics of jobs that are still wet look, well, kind of unfinished. I'd like to see that color when the RS is dry. It is nice to be able to apply in cold temps, we have used RS a few times in the low 40's. You are a spray maniac! On a job that size we would just break out the brushes to apply. 0 Adrian 155 Report post Posted March 5, 2010 The pics never really show the true appearence of the job for some reason. It looks great now that it is dry Rick. I love using the deckster for sure. It saves my old back from the push pad. However I am finishing up a smaller one this morning that I will just brush it on. Dark Red as well. I'll post the pics of it when I get back later on. It's around 45 this morning as well. RS seems to do ok around 45 degrees and up. It will be a HEAT WAVE today topping out at 65 degrees. ha. Have a great one. 0 James 625 Report post Posted March 5, 2010 I have many large PT jobs with DR ,DB and mixed together . It doesn't look all that dark in 6 months but where it wear's out is more noticeable due to more pigment being used . After a couple of maintenances it gets very dark, then it's time to remove and start over. Dark red and brown look great on spindles for a very long time.
