Oh yeah, we felt it. Felt the small after shock too.

First we heard a loud bang, then everything shook, the house, the windows, etc. Not much to do except sit through it. It was 5:04 and and we were in bed, and had just woken up.

Beth,

I graduated with a degree in geology 35 yrs. ago. Remember in one class, we were informed that humans experiencing a significant earthquake become quickly disoriented. There is something very spooky about the "solid" earth moving under your feet.

Used to have little ones all the time in Japan. I was a little unnerved when I first moved there but you get used to it after a while. First thing I learned was to never put your coffee cup to close to the edge of you desk or else you'll be cleaning up spilled coffee and a broken cup.

You felt a 3.6?

A 3.6 actually made the news?

Did it feel like someone slammed the door?

Call me when you have a 6.6

It was felt in three states that I know if, MD, VA and WV.

I hope I never experience a 6.6. I have friends who have been through major ones in northern cal.

San Diego area has had a 3.0 or better every week, for several weeks now.

I'll take this over one of those awesome electrical storms y'all get. :)

..but that shake 'n rattle is always a bit spooky.. especially when close to windows.
