cwarrior 14 Report post Posted December 23, 2010 Hi, wondering if you could share some advice. Recently noticed oil in pump to be milky and bubbly/fizzy. What could be the cause of the water getting into the crankcase? I have a GP T5050. Is there a pump oil I can purchase from a local store so I can change asap? Any help would be appreciated. Alexy 85 Report post Posted December 23, 2010 You either have condensation build up from temprature changes that has collected in the pump and ruined the oil or your seal kit has gone bad on your pump and needs to be replaced. Drop the oil. flush out the pump to clean it and replace the oil and run it if after running it it becomes milky you will have to replace the seals and packings. Doug Black 18 Report post Posted December 23, 2010 I used cheap oil once and noticed it broke down to this appearance. I switched to valvoline 30; couldn't find any synthetic 30 weight. Seems to be holding up well.
Jerry 24 Report post Posted December 23, 2010 Water Pumps.. Use ISO 100, hydraulic oil.. NAPA stores have it, all your local pressure washer dealers should have it or.. Synthetic is HIGHLY recommended at higher temps. Synthetic Compressor oil ISO-100 at about $17.95 per Qt. call me if you want. :)

Paul Kassander 26 Report post Posted December 24, 2010 Be sure to use a Non detergent oil, detergent oils will foam and create bubbles in it which can make it look like it is full of water.
