0 Adrian 155 Report post Posted November 14, 2011 Audi's rule, Jim. We have a Q5 model. Simply unreal. There's other modes of getting around too, for mid life crisis, I always suggest something with wings. lol.

0 John.Harper 14 Report post Posted November 14, 2011 check out the audi S5 with the 4.2 liter with an audi quattro is unreal its performance in deep snow rivals my 4X4 and in the turns its kind of just like are you crazy enough to take this corner that fast .. but i would imagine the porsche would be the same way
0 Jim Gamble 20 Report post Posted November 14, 2011 Audi's rule, Jim. We have a Q5 model. Simply unreal. There's other modes of getting around too, for mid life crisis, I always suggest something with wings. lol. YOU ARE SOOOOOOO RIGHT ! I LOVE AUDI'S ! We had the Touareg ( Yes, not an Audi, but close.... a VW ). It was one of the best handling SUV's according to Road & Track.. Built heavy, built right ! But then the wiring harness for the left head light went out $3,000. Then the seat would not retract $1,500, then the air bags warning light $3,500 all in the 6th year, and just out of warranty. Hey, but there was nothing wrong with that 4.2 liter V-8. Of course the 8 quart synethic $130 dollar oil changes was a bit steep. So let me tell you a story... My wife and I was coming home from San Diego. She wakes from from a 2 hr nap. She asks, where are we, I say about 2 hours from SF. She says, why you going so slow, I say, Honey, I'm going 115 MPH. She say, oh my God slow down. So I slow down to 75 mph, she says oh this is just too slow. We agreed to go at 90 mph. And the thing is... NO Tickets ! 0 John.Harper 14 Report post Posted November 14, 2011 lol well then just wait a month or so .. but honestly 80 year old men with oxygen tanks look cool in corvettes hopefully i do well enough that i can get one for my quarter life crisis
0 John T 744 Report post Posted November 14, 2011 (edited) I had the Buick grand national about 5 yrs ago and I blew the tire right off it when that car was pinned(was set to do about 120mph but it got up there in a hurry) This was the 87 grand national which was America's fastest made production car at the time. That was the end of my speed demon years which started from High School when I use to race my Opel Gt with Dual weber Carbs and blue printed engine. I'll have to scan the picture of that car. It was mint and all my money went into it back then. From there I proceeded to blow up the engine of my 72 vette on the expressway racing a Jag years later and from there I had an 86 black mustang Gt 5.0 convertible with blacked out lights. I loved that car. Racing an Audi one night where I had that car pinned around 135-140 the Audi which was still coming but behind me I lost control of my car on a puddle that should've never been there. Spun the car numerous times and hit the divider on the pass. Side and rocketed off into the woods. No injuries but $10'000 in damages to my car which almost totaled it back then. These areas where I did this were known areas to drag race but not to legal if u get my drift. Midlife crises for me now is a boat.. But a hangout boat for fishing and partying and no more speed. Hope to get that boat in a year or 2. Edited November 14, 2011 by John T
0 Jim Gamble 20 Report post Posted November 14, 2011 Jim,You have some world class twisty roads in California. Get the roadster. Thats a good looking car. I need something that my clients can also get in or the family, if needed. This of course will NOT be a family car, just a " Just in case pick the kids up" car. This car will be for ME ! I will have a Stick, no auto here. Had a Merc Capri 5.0 (302) red-line at 6,000 RPM's. That was big in the day. Ate Camero's for lunch. I luv that car. I could whip a 180 U turn going 55 mph in a single lane. Girls, fast cars, party,..... waking up in a girls bed and not remembering how you got there or even who she is, praying that as she turns around, that she was a babe! Thank God, I never regretted those moments.... LOL Oh thats BAD! Sorry Girls.

Then you realized they were "Coyote Ugly" where you woke up and had to chew your own arm off to get out of there:) Hey you ever do this?? Your shaving while looking into the mirror..and then the thought comes thru you"what the heck happened to Me" when you take a good look at yourself..lol. Then you run into someone from High School days and they say "wow you look the exact same as you did in H/S) where I love saying "Cool I look like chits then too" Nothings changed:) Edited November 15, 2011 by John T iPad switching words - drives me nuts

0 tonyshelton 112 Report post Posted November 14, 2011 Wow. Toot. Waking up? Who slept? What about Cid? Who needs Viagra when you're stuck like that anyway for eight hours? Jim, I worked at the Hungry I and Big Al's back in those days. All you had to do was shut up and listen to their stories and you were gold. Those were the days. The days of hell. I'm driving a Crown Vic now. Cash. Bimmers are gone. It's the Obama economy. Wedded bliss is good. Thank God she doesn't care about those days. :)

0 John.Harper 14 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 6 speed audi with the 2.7 twin turbo motor ... you could get the a6 disguised as an executive car that looks like a boat .. my friend has one and spent about 2 grand and now it stays with vetoes .. or you could get the 2.7 in the older s4 body style which is stupid fast stock but you probably wouldn't like either one but its a bad ass motor i wanted to swap a 2.7 in my 02 audi a4 would have been the perfect carr looks and everything else

Ummm I'll take some chins removed, some fake muscles added, some lipo, porcelain teeth caps, heightening custom shoes, some hair removal and some hair added.. And an ice cold Guiness ale. I think the last one is attainable:)
