0 AAPaint 14 Report post Posted June 3, 2012 I think you off track on this, actually the highest compliment someone can get would be from there peers. No one is asking for judgement. Is there anyone whom you look up to in this business, it doesn't need to be three, as I said its not a contest of who's better. Its just some help as to a place to start. I'm not Clear if you wanted to Say Beth & RoD or Roger & Celeste? Ahh, sorry Ron. I wouldn't want to say anyone, because I honestly don't know that many in the wood trade. There are probably 10 or 15 I would put on the same level from my years of reading here. I simply can't judge or put some people on a pedestal above others, and I can't trash anyone either, I'd rather remain neutral. I was simply nodding to the women who work along side their men in this business. Kick some butt at whatever you're up to. I hope you get the information you need from others. 0 Ron Musgraves 240 Report post Posted June 3, 2012 I perceive my fellow contractors regonition as the highest complement, if you do not want to publicly say please just text or email me. Pm me here if thats easy, your recommendations are private an as I said before there's now vote or anything. Now if you don't see someone you thought should be mentioned on the final list that would actually not be justice? Its not really judgement, who would you hire to do your place if you needed it? Ahh, sorry Ron. I wouldn't want to say anyone, because I honestly don't know that many in the wood trade. There are probably 10 or 15 I would put on the same level from my years of reading here. 0 Adrian 155 Report post Posted June 29, 2012 Just reread thread...... no one mentioned Pete M from SB. I learned alot from him back in the day at his lunch box meetings in Lawrenceville. Not to forget his sidekick Tracy H. Both vets from early on who helped alot of us get where we are today. Wood sucks man anyways,....... why am I posting here? I hate wood. lol. I'll love it again in about 5 minutes.

0 Adrian 155 Report post Posted June 29, 2012 Had about 22 guys 62 emails One man 42 recommendation, I realize there are more. This was a Great StartThanks All start.... to what though? No one has mentioned that wood resto in the south can be much different from the north. Jim or Rick or Beth Or Rod may find that they do not have to do resto the exact same way down here because of climate issues. vice versa for us south holes. just saying....... geo and climate are issues always going to be a variable in determining "best" status. Thats why I think qualified and capable are more operative. This is not an easy facet of the industry, we somehow make it look as if it is because many of us have over a hundred miles of wood resto. Is Eddie Van Halen the best? or Joe Satriani? or Steve Vai, Or Chet Atkins, or Roy Clark, or Dave Mustaine, or john petrucci, or eric johnson or John5. Hard call really.... I think you have good info for a new directory though..... he he he. My links at the bottom.
