VanDiesel99 14 Report post Posted December 1, 2004 I remember someone mentioning this idea before but I don't remember any conclusions to the discussion. If you were to run two downstream injectors in succession, then in theory you would actually be applying twice as much chem than if you were only using one. That would eliminate the problem of not being able to achieve high dilution ratios using downstream injectors. Any comments?
Russ Johnson 141 Report post Posted December 1, 2004 If not, hook up two downstreamers to it and drop both hoses into the tank. Henry Bockman...what about it? Does it work?
Henry B. 4 Report post Posted December 1, 2004 It seems to draw twice the chemical than a single downstream injector. To be honest though, I've never measured it..LOL I'll try measuring it next week when I powerwash this guys roof and I'll let you know. I just tested the pull rate of one of my x jets 2 weeks ago and I've had them all season. I just know how much of whatever to put in the bucket for what I need clean. One Tough Pressure 580 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo What is the difference between 2 downstreamers and the soap spider that is sold? The spider has three hoses on one injector.
Henry B. 4 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 I've never seen the soap spider but if you have a link to it I would like to take a look at it. What was the nooooooooooo comment for? no idea or no it doesn't or what?
One Tough Pressure 580 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 I've never seen the soap spider but if you have a link to it I would like to take a look at it. They do not have a online catalog.
Henry B. 4 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 Hey Alan, who makes it, do you have a number or anything for them? I'd like to check it out, it might even work better than what I have now.
Aplus 525 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 I think it's espec.
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 Espec sells them. Called a Chem Spider. I've got one with 2 of 3 ports fitted with injectors. (2 stage) They have a ceramic ball in them for those who use bleach or acids. If you use them both at the same time, it increases the draw of course. My best use is just before the 24' extention wand for downstreaming onto high areas like chimneys at four and a half stories. The injectors can be adjusted on the fly and with QC fittings gives flexability in use and weight on the wand. Rod~
K.J. Pressure Washing 14 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 What do they claim to be the % of draw?
K.J. Pressure Washing 14 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 What do they claim to be the % of draw?Rod, what % do you get with the spider?
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted December 9, 2004 Up to 26% draw. And functionable on lengths of up to 500' of hose. Rod~
K.J. Pressure Washing 14 Report post Posted December 9, 2004 That's pretty good considering I now use one that gives me 20% which I like because in the last year I really got used to downstreaming.More is always better! Thanks!
Cleveland Mobile 14 Report post Posted December 9, 2004 I've seen a sureflow pump hooked to the inlet of an injector. The pump goes on when there is a draw and pumps directly in the injector. This increases the soap flow dramatically. If you dont need the increase just switch the pump off and you can draw soap normally with the pump off. The injector sucks right through the pump. andy
