Aluminum Siding

Question

I have 3 singlewide mobile homes to clean next week. 2 of which are aluminum siding. This is my first time cleaning aluminum siding. Any special precautions need to take? Hot water ok or use cold? And what pressure would be best?

Thanks

Jim

Easy on the pressure and light on chemical strength. Aluminum is real sensitive to both, and its easy to remove the paint. If it's really chalky, be extra careful. Good learning experience though. Just go easy.

Lots of algae = lots of oxidized paint. You could two step it by using an acid followed by a more caustic housewash with bleach. Be sure to rinse slowly and evenly holding your wand the same distance from the surface at all times. I wouldn't go over 600 psi.
