Trim your trees
Sometimes, it isn’t the rain, hail, snow, or wind that damages your home directly. Overhanging branches can fall onto your roof causing severe damage. Even tiny twigs that hang over your roof can cause problems for you if the wind blows them back and forth across your roof. They can remove the granules from your roof. Branches and leaves can also clog your gutters and cause water to pool up on your roof leading to roof leaks. The chance of this can be minimized if you trim the trees near your home.
Check for and repair roof damage
Any damage to your roof or rain gutters is a vulnerable area that can lead to more serious problems. Before winter is in full swing, it’s a good idea to get out and inspect your roof looking for any damage. If you have cracked or curling shingles, clogged gutters, or rain gutters that are pulling away from your roof, take care of these problems immediately. They’ll only get worse if they are ignored.
Add insulation
Make sure the insulation in your attic is sufficient. You may need to add more if it is not. You may be wondering what insulation has to do with roofing problems. Insulation does more than keep your heating costs down. It also prevents ice from damming up your rain gutters causing roof damage and possibly leaks
Consider impact resistant roofing
If you live in an area that’s prone to hail and it’s time for a new roof, consider a roofing material that is especially resistant to hail damage. This can save you from frequently having to make costly repairs.

We're Now Renovating Homes In Fulshear, TX
After nearly 10 years of offering just pressure washing and roof cleaning in the Katy and Fulshear area I have decided to take customer service to a new level and start a construction company in Fulshear. I seem to get asked on a nearly daily basis if I also offer painting, or if I know a good roofing company and up until now I have always just said I didn't do those things - I just stick to what I know best.
I realized that what I really know best is customer service, and helping customers take back the pride in home ownership. I also understand that you don't have to know everything, but it's good to know someone that does. I can actually help my customers more by finding the best custom pool builder, custom cabinet makers and outdoor kitchen construction company in the area and creating the home the customer has always wanted - but never knew how to get.

When it comes to choosing what brand of stain to use for your deck, there are countless options. Even before choosing the brand, you will need to determine where to start your search? The box stores or your local hardware store are common starting points however the internet is the most common.
Let's back up even further, let's determine if you really want to do your deck maintenance yourself or if you want to hire a professional to do the work for you. A cost benefit analysis should be performed in order to determine if the benefits of using a professional outweigh the costs. The average deck will take 3-6 hours for a home owner to power wash a deck (that is assuming they own a power washer). If a rental is needed, there is the additional time with driving to the store, purchasing the rental and then also returning it.
After the cleaning is completed, the deck needs to dry. This will mean week nights or waiting until the next weekend. When the deck/wood has dried, the decision making needs to take place for which stain product to use.
Unfortunately the help you will get at a store with your questions are limited. How many decks do you think the employee behind the counter has completed? So when they answer your questions, how much experience is behind those answers. At a minimum call a couple deck contractors and get their opinion. If you are up front and honest, a true professional would be happy to provide their opinion on what you should do if you are tackling your own deck staining.
