My airless died...what now?

Question

I almost went ahead a replaced it with another airless. If I go airless, I am getting a Titan 440. Let's say you had the $800 that the Titan costs, what set up would you go with for staining?

Chris,

I was at Sherman Williams today looking at sprayers and ended up buying a Spraytech, but they had a sale on the Titan for $675.00 with rebate (Spraytechs also had rebates). I may hate myself for not buying the Titan, but money is tight and I haven't had that many decks so far.

Chris,

If using light bodied semi-transparent stains, as opposed to heavy, solid stains similar in consistency to paint, check out the Decker 5'er or Deckster. Tom at ACR Products or Pete at Sunbrite carries them.

There is a lot of info on these units here on TGS. Just do a search.

most of those can be repaired by un bolting the head and topping off the hydraulic fluid. I use brake fluid or power steering fluid . Not sure of the type you have but I am able to repair my caumpbel hausfeld cheap sprayer.

Rick, welcome out of hibernation!

Hey Ken,

Yeah, its been a long, cold, boring winter. Can't wait to get working again. A few more weeks and the temps should be warm enough to start wood season. I'll give you a call sometime soon.
