squirtgun 122 Report post Posted November 4, 2009 Is NMD 80 safe to use on dryvit? I have 2 restaurants to clean that have rust from the a/c drain and stains from grease splashes. I would like to try and get off as part of the building wash.
0 big mike 14 Report post Posted November 4, 2009 Is NMD 80 safe to use on dryvit? Should be. I would try it in an inconspicuous spot first, to test colorfastness. It says be careful of dyed substrates, but NMD80 is a pretty weak solution. As always, low pressure on EIFS.
0 FullBlast 14 Report post Posted November 4, 2009 I think it is. I'm pretty sure I have before.
0 Adrian 155 Report post Posted November 4, 2009 Is NMD80 weaker than OX? I have never heard of it. I have used OX on eifs that was painted and had rust. It worked fine. Of course it was not a really strong mix, but it worked fine removing rust.
0 big mike 14 Report post Posted November 5, 2009 Is NMD80 weaker than OX? NMD80 is a hydrochloric based I believe (not positive on that, so check the MSDS). It's definitely stronger than Ox. I rarely use a respirator with Ox, but it's a must with most EacoChem stuff.
