Our 1 year old niece had a stroke!

Back in late July we were informed that my brothers one year old daughter had a pretty serious stroke. Things have been touch and go throughout the winter.

It certainly came as a shock that a precious little one year old could even have a stroke. Anyway, come to find out that children are more and more prone to have strokes.

Anyway, the Associated Press did an article on our niece and thought I would share.

Carlos, one of my best friends from high school has two boys. The second had a stroke when he was just 16 months old or so. It seemed very serious, but he is fine now, about three years later.

Seems so strange to say a child has had a stroke. I hope things go well for you and yours, you all are in my prayers.

Thanks all....appreciate the thoughts. She is doing alot better and the dr's are very optimistic that she will have a decent recovery. She lost some of her sight and there is some brain damage that did occur.

She will be fine....we are confident in that.
