For the first time, mobile contract cleaners will be able to attend one convention and have the benefit of networking, technical seminars, and a trade show for multiple mobile contracting trades. This association will fill the need for those contract cleaners that already provide or wish to provide services for more than one trade, a typical growth progression for "Contractors on the Move™". United Association of Mobile Contract Cleaners (*****) will encompass the following mobile contract cleaner trades: air duct cleaning, carpet cleaning, commercial janitorial service, insurance, power washing, water blasting, and window cleaning. More contract cleaner trades will be added. The first National Convention and Trade Show will be May 4–7, 2006 in Fort Worth, Texas. The networking opportunities will also include meeting representatives from other trade associations including Master Window Cleaners of America, International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association, Power Washers of North America, and more. On behalf of TGS we want to say we welcome this new org, and look forward to learning more as it unfolds. The Hinderliters and also Joe Walters played a very large part in the formation of the PWNA. Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted December 11, 2005 I think we can expect a different approach in this org as it is comprised of vendors instead of contractors according to the contact information. I could be mistaken but no matter, they are encompassing a larger segment of contract related cleaners. Beth had this same sort of idea some time back but it was never acted upon while she was on the pwna bod. I am glad to see that others can think out of the box and embrace the diversities. The benefit of a making them a whole community is a good one from the concept outlined in the 3rd and 4th paragraphs as I take it. Talk about anxious to hear more... M Hinderliter 64 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 Good Morning, I wanted to take this opportunity to inform the industry about the formation of *****, United Association of Mobile Contract Cleaners. *****, was formed because we believe there is a growing demand from mobile contractor cleaners to expand their services into other markets. We envision this to be an excellent venue for contractors to: 1) Network to create other trade affiliation, for example a power washer can find a widow cleaner, carpet cleaner, janitorial service, etc. and they refer work back and forth to each other. 2) Receive education 3) Expand into new service areas. ***** is not an industry specific trade association. We welcome all mobile contract cleaners and the trade association for those industries. We expect to create alliance with the all the trade groups that will beneficial to their growth.
