Thanks Charlie. That was a Chefs house we did last year. We actually got that job from someone who came to this bb looking for a contractor in his area to stain his house. Another reason why I like going to these bb's.

That's a sweet Deck pics you got there. Looks like those pics could be in the running for the money in this contest. Good luck.

Okay I found one. It was not chosen because it is a eye popping deck, it was chosen because the wood - Cypress - is rarely seen around here for building and because the Japanese look to the back of the house makes the architecture interesting to me. We stripped sikkens off the deck. We installed Armstrong Clark Amber.

Enjoy.

Beth

Yo! Adrian ,which one is for the contest? Ipe finally made it to Texas? Looks good

Thx Jim. might as well go with the PEEPAY pic since it's the closest view.

The IPE can be a real pain here in Tx. Much maintainence and more than one app is needed within 3-5 months.

But then again, it more expensive heh heh.

And here is after we stained with a 50/50 blend of Armstrong Amber and TWP 200 Gold. Customer wanted to replicate the original color from the sherwin williams stain. Front porch, and back deck wraps around two sides of the rear deck with main central section with staircase. You can see the floor where the strange dark spots were has been evened out. Customer was thrilled and I received this email earlier (always the best part about this business!):

"Good morning Charlie,

We were so pleased with the way the deck finished up and all the final little things you did while we were gone. Thank you so much for a wonderful job. As I type, we are sitting on the deck enjoying the wonderful weather. We have not spent time on the deck in years."

Saaaaawweeeeeeetttt.

Geeze Beth,

You and I did not get one vote! Good for us, it's getting time to retire. Let the young bucks work hard for a change, and contribute more to our Medicare and Social Security. I've got a redwood job that's just killing me... Hah!
