lances

Recommended Posts

Build your own and save some shipping money. 6' and above ship oversized. Get a 4' insulated lance, 2 - 3' aluminum bare lances, and 2 freight saver collars (1/4" coupling with deeply recessed threads), and there's a 10 footer...

I make my own. Call the local pipe supply store. I make mine in 1/8" schedule 80 and in 1/4" schedule 40 stainless steel. I have them cut it to my length and I just thread the ends.

Thanks for the info, i think i will try to make one. I looked at northern tool and higherpowerssupply.com and found none over 5 feet. Making one might be my best bet. thanks

I use them on houses where I can't reach areas without a little extra reach. I also use them when I clean around foundations of homes to get that extra distance away from the dirt which always hits me dead in the face anyways.

The 1/8" is a little flexible and bends easy but is lighter and easy to tap. 1/4" in schedule 80 is pretty heavy when it is long. I wash a lot of trailers and stuff so I like at least a 6' wand that I can hang onto all day long.
