    Help please

Hello all I am new to the grime scene does anyone have any tips, help, etc.. On ways that I can enter this hard Commercial Janitorial industry (interior cleaning). I started a my cleaning buisness back on 2008, since then I haven't being able to enter this market. I tried alot of advertising around (Southwest Orlando & Central FLA) done face to face, looked around new construction for possible prospects, etc.. but no luck. After trying diferent things I ventured into looking to take over a sub-contract and was lucky to be at the right place at the right time and landed a restaurant nightly interior cleaning account from someone who could not keep the contract going and wanted to sale, but haven't being able to land another account on that market either SINCE. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get buisness for commercial janitorial (interior) and or restaurant (interior) nightly cleaning on this rough economy? or Does anyone know of any possible job leads or subcontract work in the orlando, FL area. Any help is good!!!. Thanks in advance

  1. Roof damage from grease run-off is not an uncommon problem among restaurants. In fact, grease regularly trickles out of a drainage spout or leaks from gaps of the roof top exhaust fan. If there is no protection in place around the exhaust fan, grease will leak to the roof and cause expensive and hazardous damage. The small investment in grease containment maintenance services by a professional hood cleaner will protect your roof top from thousands of dollars worth of damage and keep you in compliance with fire codes.

Roof top grease is a significant concern for restaurant owners for various reasons. When grease builds up and sits on your roof, it can cause cracks, swelling, blistering, and deterioration. The roof may even become unsafe for walking by hood cleaning and maintenance workers. A grease damaged roof may be a violation of insurance requirements, OSHA standards, and fire codes.

One of the worst consequences of grease roof damage is a significant and increased fire hazard. Grease is the most common fuel of restaurant fires. Restaurant fires often start in the kitchen while cooking and get diverted into the hood/vent system. If that system has excess grease build up as well, it becomes a vehicle for the fire to travel to the roof top instead of providing some sort of fire containment. If grease has spilled on the roof, the fire will travel on the roof and do serious damage putting the rest of the building at risk. Maintaining your grease containment system is an important part of fire damage control in the unfortunate event of a kitchen fire.

Preventing grease damage requires regular maintenance that can conveniently be combined with your exhaust hood cleaning schedule. Your hood cleaning service provider should be knowledgeable and trained to assess your grease containment needs and make suitable recommendations for your system. Your hood cleaner can also install a grease containment system and regularly replace the grease absorbent pads that sit in the grease containment tray. The minimal investment in this important fire safety and roof protection service will keep your roof in good condition and prevent excess damage in the event of a grease fire.

If you are unsure of your roof top condition or do not receive regular hood cleaning services or are not confident in the quality of your current hood cleaner‘s work, then you will want to have your roof and exhaust system inspected immediately by a professional, certified hood cleaner. A professional hood cleaner will not only clean your exhaust system, but he will also inspect, install and maintain your grease containment system. He may also be able to remove the grease that has already come in contact with your roof with specialized, environmentally-friendly chemicals that can be used to dissolve the grease.

For restaurants, schools, hospitals, gas stations or commercial kitchens located in South Carolina, North Carolina, or southern Virginia, Grease Pro, LLC hood cleaning service can inspect and service your kitchen exhaust system and grease containment system. We are certified, licensed, and insured. Your safety and satisfaction are our highest priorities. We are hood cleaning Charlotte NC.

Forget the tarps and just use pictures of other people doing actual work on your website.........

Try pictures of yourself instead and stop misleading people into thinking that you actually do any work Jon.

  3. Your roof is the most important component to your home. It shelters you from weather, protects your belongings, and maintains the environment inside your home. We value you, your belongings, and your investment in your home. For that reason, we want to make sure you are aware of what to look for in the care of your roof.

    1. Look for a professional. Ask to see before and after pictures of work performed in the past. Ask for references. We will gladly provide them!
    2. Make sure they are insured! Pressure Pros carries a $1,000,000 liability policy.
    3. DO NOT USE HIGH PRESSURE! Many shingle manufacturers will void a warranty on a roof once a pressure washer has been used. Please read the technical bulletin on our website from the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association. Pressure Pros uses a non-pressure cleaning method that is approved by the ARMA and Roof Cleaning Institute of America.
    4. Be aware of your low cost cleaners! Your roof is a valuable asset – use a professional that provides value!

Pressure Pros understands there are many methods to clean roofs. However, Pressure Pros specialists practice safe work methods and use proven roof cleaning methods that have been used and approved for decades! Our methods are approved by the leading authorities in roof maintenance ARMA (Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association), GAF, and Owens Corning.

Here are some pictures of the Savanna Landings Townhouse/Condominium Community my men are currently cleaning.

Basically' date=' there are 3 types of buildings, some 4 unit, some 5 unit, and a few 6 units under each roof.

As can be seen, some of the roofs are absolutely filthy, with an honest inch of black roof algae on them.

There are no gutters, plants.hedges galore, and fussy, older, retired people with nothing better to do then to try and tell us what to do!

As many of you guys know, we do not [u']usually[/u] chase commercial roof cleaning jobs, since we are such an established residential roof cleaning contractor.

However, my Son Jamie is changing that, and somehow these big Commercial Roof Cleaning jobs sometimes just find us.

As some of you know, I have been a Ham Radio Operator for over 25 years (My Ham Radio FCC Callsign is Ka7niq).

The man who got us to bid this job is a fellow Ham!

Us Hams are cheap lol, he wanted a deal, and we wanted Commercial Roof Cleaning work in Valrico FL 33594, so we both got what we wanted.

Valrico is right next to our home town of Brandon Florida.

Oh, BTW, there are 33 of these buildings, with an average of 4 units in each.

So, if you take into consideration that each unit has driveways, screen rooms, windows, soffits and fascias needing cleaning, you can see my men are picking up some considerable extra money, for themselves, on this Commercial Roof Cleaning job here in Valrico, FL

Here are the first before and after Pictures.

Oh, forgot to add that we are using the New Amonyx LO Chlorine Stable Surfactant from Pressure Washer Products on all these roofs.

It greatly aids cleaning and stickability on the steep roof slopes, and also makes windows a breeze to clean w/o spotting!

The residents LOVE all the suds coming off the roofs from the Amonyx LO Surfactant after the rains, and we tell them the truth, that our roof cleaning solution "keeps on cleaning" after we are gone.

Our guys are averaging only 2 to 3 buildings a day, going real slow because roofs are filthy, slipppery, and steep, with TONS of plants and hedges that must be protected!

No way can we clean on some of the real windy days we have had lately(2-1 2010), so we stop cleaning the roofs, and switch to the exterior cleaning, until weather conditions are favorable for roof cleaning again.

Since there are TONS of plants, and no gutters, with absolutely filthy, steep roofs, we MUST have warm, sunny days to maximize the cleaning effectiveness of our intentionally weak, roof cleaning chemical solution.

We are having to hit the roofs a couple of times for complete cleaning with this weak, roof cleaning solution, enhanched by the Chlorine Stable Amonyx LO Surfactant.

The alternative is to use a strong roof cleaning solution that cleans on the first pass, but will toast the plants!

I bid this Commercial Roof Cleaning job cheap, to be completely honest, to KEEP my men working( we are running 2 roof cleaning trucks, again).

As an added bonus, they decided to clean ALL the driveways, that are postage stamp size.

I let my men make a cash deal with the residents, and keep the driveway money(after they pay me back for chemicals used).

My guys are picking up considerable side work in there, and that is OK by me.

I want my men happy, they have familys to feed to!

I will be adding some more Commercial Roof Cleaning Valrico FL 33594 before and after pics as I get them.

When NC went a little overboard on water restrictions, the PWNC quickly went to work on establishing our presence in North Carolina. A very successful meeting of contractors, supported by Pete Marentay of SunBrite Supply, Mike Baker (x-jet inventor) of Xterior Sales and Diego May of MVP Services, was captured by both print and tv media. Following is a portion of the news exposure we got.
