Hey Amy-- responded to your post on another bb.
Good to see that you reached out to this bulletin board as well which has been top of the line professional for the longest that I know of in the Powerwashing Industry when it comes to Powerwashing bulletin boards.

www.thegrimescene.com has been around 10 yrs now and this bulletin board has raised the bar tremendously thru-out the Powerwashing Industry since its inception.

I'm getting old.. Change is harder for me to adjust to. Since Beth changed TGS you can see that it's got more advancements in place. My problem is I'm having a hard time getting use to the change.
On the brighter side--- The more I come here the more I'm getting use to this.
How are you other guys making out with TGS's change?

I have my inlaws hanging out at my house for the weekend and Sunday my family and some friends are coming by to hang out by my pool. The water is cranked up to 88 degrees so we can just float around and drink beer in the floating cooler I have in the pool..
By the time this weekend is over I should look like a bloated float:)
So what's your plans for this weekend(hopefully you don't have to work)?

There's always someone who's to smart for there own good:cool:
Answer is I'm not teaching squat but I'm OK giving out info on the net and also helping out some local guys with things but I'm getting request to bring guys to a parking garage when we do them.. Thats where I draw the line. I might video a garage and show it on the net because I don't worry about competition but these r good paying jobs and I really would not want to teach a guy how we do it while he is at my customers garage. Also bigger then that is every time we do them there are time constraints and it wouldn't be fair to the guy or myself to not give him the time needed because we go non stop in them and everything has to work or be fixed ASAP so on those type jobs it's in and out with very little interruptions.

John T got a reaction from Tmrrptr in New Org start up cost and yearly membership fee?
At the ACR roundtable on Nov17-18th there is a potential of a new org starting up in the not so distant future from that roundtable. For all I know it could start right then and there and come running out of the box.
This is a two part Question:
1-How much Money would a new org need to get off the ground? I say not that much if you have enough dedicated volunteers to help out with the creating and running the org. By using some of these volunteers talents such as them making websites free of charge to help promote the org this can be a great starting point. If people want to donate cash along the way that will be great also....The Key here is the people who will volunteer there services for the betterment of the org.
2-What should the starting membership price be??Should it be high such as $350 or should it be in the range of $100 so more can join and help the org offer more for its members sooner then just collection $350 with no real benefits.

    Ken,
As always another good post. I never infracted anyone and like alot of things in life the only way to know what works and what doesn't is to sometimes just go for it and see what happens. Thats what was tried here IMHO and even though it was a noble Idea the reality of it was that it didn't work as well as it was intended to do.
I like PT bb alot but I'm still more confortable with a moderator system just to keep the engine running a little more smoothly. Its just an opinion from what I have seen over the years.
What I always liked best about TGS is the ability of the Admin to keep this bb current and fresh. Its a Powerwashing information Highway that is well taken care of and that is a reflection of the leaders and the members that are here. Along the way there are changes that take place and in some cases they might not have been the best of changes but at least they are tried and true. Thru the trial and tribulations they are tweaked and tweaked again such as this. The beauty of an ever evolving bulletin board such as TGS. There is no definitive answer but the effort that goes into the search for the answer is always here.
