What are you Chris?

Democrat or libertarian because I'm the lone republican.Or the only one brave enough to say it.

Be it known I disagree with W on a lot of domestic stuff though. Too much like a democrat for me.

Ronald Reagan is my hero.

I am a Constitutionalist and I have no none to vote for.

I am a Democrat and I have no one to vote for either. I will vote Dem or Rep but there is no one I trust to do a good job. I really believe the system is to corrupt for anyone to really care about us.

We bounce back & forth between having dem & republicans in and they all constantly fail us

Irs getting so ridiculous, we start running at least 2 years before the election, they spend millions almost probably over 1 Billion$$$ in all for what. Couldn't that money be spent on other things worth while

We should give free air space/time and have limits on what can be spent and make it a fairer playing feild........Wishful thinking

We have millionaires running our country, what do they know, how can they help us when they have never seen the real world in decades or their entire life

GOOD LUCK to us, we are going to need it, who ever wins and its still a year away

I had to place my vote for other because I don't know what I am anymore. I used to vote Republican but W has been a huge disappointment. Republicans had the presidency and both houses and basically screwed the base that put them into office. Then after getting their butts kicked in the last election they still can't figure out what went wrong.

I will not vote for a Republican or a Democrat in the next presidential election. I would rather vote Liberterian or Constitutionalist.

I'm what is often called a hardhat liberal: That usually means working-class, conservative democrat, but often includes progressive or centrist republicans.

We are the swing voters that actually elect people.

I've voted outside my party plenty of times, because I love my country before my party.

If you hate the system, get more active, I've watched what can happen when people decide to get off the duff and be a part of something.

People take the franchise for granted, vote thoughtfully.

Also, if you are sure you are right about something, read the views of the other side, you will find that most issues aren't nearly as clean-cut as we might wish.

Racechaser what makes you think your the only one who has the guts to say he or she is a registered Republican?

Years ago I was a Dem and voted party straight down the ballot, at some point I got fed up with them since they are anti 95% of what I believe in.

I switched to Rep, but I do not agree with everything any party has to offer.

How do I vote, not by party, not by who lies the least but by two things, one is this person seeing things as it should be and is this person going to be honest with us.

Easy to learn some of that, past records.

Truthfully I don't trust any of the Dem's running and if I had to pick one Obama at this time would be my choice but he too is anti gun so he would not get my vote.

On the Rep side their all a bunch of lairs too except one, a former TV star and former politician.

Now I can see all of you agreeing with me on how it honestly should be, we should not be forced to join or register to one party just to be allowed to vote.

Second the ballots should have EVERYONE on it regardless of what party they belong to.

Coming from CA where every party is recognized to New Mexico that only recognizes three parties is 100% wrong.

Oh and No I would never vote for Governor Richardson and nor would you once you learn how easy it is to buy what you want.

Ok I have said to much here but in ending I do not hate or dislike anyone because of what party they are a member of.

What are you Chris?

I fall most in line with a Libertarian Philosophy, EXCEPT for free health care for all Americans, and some other issues.

I think the Govt has become too big, and America is becoming a Police State.

We used to TALK Bad about Russia, about how they "exiled you to Siberia", etc, etc.

But America has more citizens imprisoned per capita then any other country in the free world!

More and more of our freedoms are vanishing in the name of "DUI" checkpoints and terrorism.

Pretty soon, they will take our Guns !

Then, ONLY the Govt will have Guns.

WOW Scott, your choice shocked me!

When I think of you, I think of a Mid Western Hunter.

Remember, I am from Michigan, and grew up outdoors, hunting.

MOST hunters are anti gun control.

Do I really need to say what I am? ok, for those that dont know me. Totally republican, named my son Reagan, Still like GW and will vote Mike Hucabee and straight republican ticket unless those dems that run can prove they are not socialist.

Hillary quote "i prefer not to be called a liberal, but a classic progressive." the early progressives were as socialist as they could get and followed Karl Marx almost to the letter.

As for reading and taking the other side into consideration, I do. we have the St petersburg times here, long known as the Pravda West, and I read it every day, especially the editorials so I know what the other side is thinking. I love conservative talk radio, (is there any other kind that is commercially viable?) but all the magazines I read and tv news shows I watch are liberal, so I can get both sides. There is absolutely no liberal policy that would make me change my vote, and there is definately no liberal candidate worth putting into the most powerful position in the world.

Not anything arrogant meant by it. Just the last couple of threads were bashing the war and then this poll came up.

When i voted it seems like there were 15 views and three votes including mine. One republican, one democrat and one other. I just thought there were people that were scared to say what party they were registered as since they didn't vote.

Just early in the thread and nothing meant by it.

Nope I totally value every opinion. My life experiences are different than yours. Therefore we have different ideas on life.

I bet you can honestly say that having a wife and kids and now having to pay taxes and expenses as an owner makes you a little more open to conservative values.

I have six kids and another on the way. I would go anywhere and do anything to protect their freedoms and give them the same opportunity that I have had as an American.

It will take you time to come around but you will.LOL

SIX KIDS & ANOTHER ON THE WAY.................WOW!!!

I wish there was somebody somewhere in the middle, that just made sense and then have a congress that worked together. I fear its just wishful thinking

I see no viable candidate from either party that excites me and actually i think most of them will say anything to get elected and I don't like any of them. I liked McCain for several years, but when he started going to the republican Conservative base and saying things he never said before, I just saw him as like the rest of them. I know McCain as a republican has to try to go to the base, but thats what a lot of independents & dems liked about him. He was republican, but more middle of the road and not as extremes as we on the other side see some of the other Republicans. But McCain's a lost cause now

I dont have to like everything about a candidate, republican or dem, but I do need to get a feeling of honesty to vote for them. I worry about my kids in this day & time and I think both parties arent doing much right

SIX + KIDS ..................WOW. Whens the baby due and congrats!!!

MOST hunters are anti gun control.

Yeah, that's an issue I have to weigh pretty heavily every time.

I don't like big, molly-coddling gov't, but I don't like rapacious corporations going unchecked either. I often go with the gun issue, because an armed society is a polite society, in my eyes.

I don't like being pigeon-holed much, no matter what the topic is. I've often thought I should start an independent party. Either the Gimme a Break Party, or maybe the Contrarian Party.:lgangel:

Excessive anything, in government, really puts me off. A little common sense goes a long way.

My voting record would shock many here.

Man Scott! I am way behind the curve!

My wife is one of 8 her folks each one of over 10. You have to love a family so blessed!:)

Yes two of them are my stepchildren but they were five and two when we married and are grown now. They are 23 and 20 now. My stepdaughter(20) is actually expecting in the spring. So that will make us grandparents also.

It will be quite an interesting family dynamic. My grandchild will have an uncle that is only three months older than them. If hers is a boy, I will have to explain how I have a son and a grandson on the same T-ball team. LOL

I know plenty of business owners that vote Democrat - funny I thought you had to be a really big multinational type company before you really started enjoying the fruits of republican politics.

Dan, you really are a doubting Thomas.

It's Trickle Down don't ya know ?

I just wish the rich would pee a little harder though :lgtear:
